Radial relief on cutting edges ensures RTS-2000^™ Tapered Plug Cutters really cut and not simply tear, burnish and burn wood like other plug cutters:

• Radial relief also means both long- and cross-grain plugs cut easily with lower torque on the plug, virtually eliminating the chronic breakoff problem found with competing cutters.
• As an added benefit, heat-treated stainless steel cutting edges last much longer than regular steel because cutting edge micro-erosion and corrosion are greatly reduced - particularly important when cutting acidic woods like Oak.
• Cutters produce a slightly tapered plug (1°) for an excellent fit in both hard or soft woods.
• Optimum operating speed = 450 RPM.
